Terms of Use

DogBone Capital is a university investment club. All portfolios, orders, fills, and performance on the platform are simulated. Nothing here is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and nothing executes real-money trades or creates a brokerage account.

Member access is granted by club administrators. You are responsible for activity under your account, for keeping your sign-in secure, and for the accuracy of the profile information you provide.

One person, one account.Every member holds a single account for the club. If you have signed up more than once, link every email you use to sign in to that one account under Settings, or contact a club administrator. Duplicate accounts found on the platform may be merged into one record; a merge preserves the member’s trading and journal history rather than discarding it. Members who link a duplicate on their own before December 31, 2026will not be suspended for having created it. After that date, deliberate evasion of the one-account rule, such as maintaining separate accounts to avoid a restriction, may result in suspension. Where a leadership-approved reset of a member’s book is warranted, that reset is logged and the prior record is presented on the platform as an archived season, not erased.

You agree not to:

• access accounts, data, or admin functions that are not yours;
• upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content, or content you lack rights to;
• probe, scrape, overload, or disrupt the platform or its providers;
• misuse market data or research beyond the club’s educational purpose; or
• create or use more than one account for yourself, except as linked emails on a single account.

The platform includes, or will include, a skill-based forecasting league: members submit probability estimates on questions resolved from the club’s own trading and performance records, and are scored on the accuracy of those estimates over time. Participation is scored in points only. No real money is ever staked, wagered, or paid out on this feature, and no balance in it converts to real-money value. This is a forecasting and calibration exercise, not a market for speculation on outcomes, and it is not offered or described to you as such.

You retain ownership of research and materials you upload and grant the club permission to display and distribute them for its educational and publication purposes. Market data is provided by third parties and subject to their terms.

Market data, news, and alternative datasets on the platform (including quotes, bars, congressional and insider disclosure records, analyst ratings, and macroeconomic series) are supplied by third-party vendors and public sources under license to the club. This data is provided to you solely for your personal, educational use within the club, whether you view it in the app or read it through your own connected AI agents and API tokens.

You may not redistribute, republish, resell, or bulk-export vendor-sourced data, or feed it into any external product, dataset, or service outside the club. Programmatic access is scoped, and every tool invocation is logged. The club may suspend or revoke data access to protect its vendor licenses. Vendor attributions shown with the data must be preserved when you cite it in club research.

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, the club and its operators are not liable for losses arising from use of this educational tool.
